Many comedies are good to help alleviate negativity and stress, and there are inspiring and spiritually uplifting movies that feed your spirit instead. 

The Lost Teachings of Atlantis contains some wonderful spiritual movies for inspiration and understanding.

Here is a list of more spiritually oriented TV shows and movies, as well as some good comedies, and more. 

      
"Pay it forward"
This movie is very intense and powerfully moving.  It's a great TRUE spiritual movie. One of the all time greats.  You can't put a price on something that can help you spiritually, even if it is an intense emotional ride. Accepting the pain of compassion, is the only way you will really ever grow, or love unselfishly.  To oversimplify the movie, it is about a young seventh-grader who starts something along the lines of the Golden Rule clubs we tried to start. "Do a life changing good deed for 3 people you know, then ask them to do the same".  It also deals with abuse issues very well too.

For seeing the effects of one man's facing death without fear, we advise Jeff Bridge's "Fearless".  For getting an idea of the reality of selfish relationships, try "Denial", and "Happiness". 

For those who have seen the old Tyrone Power version of "Razor's Edge" recommended in the book, also try Bill Murray's modern version.

Revenge of the Sith
The "Third Episode" of the Star Wars Series. We would highly recommend you watch this movie, and afterwards watching "The Empire Strikes Back". Read more about Revenge of the Sith in the December 2006 ezine/newsletter.

The Entire Matrix Trilogy
The 3rd Matrix is the most spiritual of the three, but for some has been the hardest to grasp. Comprehend it intuitively rather than logically.

What the #$*! Do We -(K)now!? - We agree with most of what is presented in this movie. There's a whole lot of great information to digest, but make sure you use your own discretion/inner voice, too. Some of the stuff is not accurate. One of their so-called experts is a man who either pretends or imagines that he can actually fly around with his body, and one of the women experts is, in our opinion, an extremely arrogant channeler who made a fortune in the 80's by acting (and poor acting at that) like she was possessed/channeling some warrior god/ascended being. Even then, some of the things she says are profound and worth contemplating. The truth can come from anywhere. To address one concept they put forth, at some incredibly high, Zen level, one can theorize that Good and evil are non-existent, just two halves of a greater whole, and it is true - in part. There are two sides to that coin. But at the level of evolution most of us are working on, to embrace that concept completely, in a black and white absolutist fashion, would only provide us with a giant cop out to avoid facing our errors, flaws and other unpleasant truths about the world we live in.

The entire Babylon 5 series (Babylon 5 is good sci-fi in the first season. But it’s just doing character development for what the show eventually becomes. Then it gets a lot better, and the spiritual statements start. Then it gets incredible. Then you think it couldn’t get any better, but it does. Then you know it couldn’t get any better, but it does! Wow. And I’ll tell you folks, we have never read or seen anything that shows so well what a good, and spiritual relationship between a man and woman can be, as that show. Of course, that is only one of the lessons it offers. Should probably mention the last season of Babylon, while it had a couple of shining moments, like the new constitution, was quite bad, not worth watching – except the very last episode.)

Babylon 5: In the Beginning (Should be watched after watching the Babylon 5 series)

Jeremiah [TV-Series 2002-2004] (A series about the end times by the Babylon 5 guy. Great show, a winner, but very painful to watch, knowing that it’s about to come true and seeing all the cruelty potential in humans. But for most of us, we need to be reminded of it.)
